Owner says: “‘Herc’ is the first diesel truck I've owned, and it's been a temperamental one at that. I've owned it for nearly three years. The truck is currently in the middle of a build after the high-pressure fuel pump went ‘kaboom.’ I'm getting a 76mm/62mm compound turbocharger setup and a set of injectors with 75-percent-over tips on them. The build is centered on those two items, but will also be receiving dual fueler injection pumps, heavy-duty pistons, complete head rebuilds, and many other mods that support the project. I'm shooting for 800 hp minimum and the truck will be daily driven. Also, there will be extensive new suspension modifications.”

The Gift of Diesel

My wife bought this pickup for me while I was deployed to Iraq because I sold my Power Stroke truck before I left. She picked me up in it when I came home. It was the best welcome home present I could ever ask for, and I pull our 26-foot travel trailer for family camping trips with ease.”
