Busted Knuckles- Nip/ Tuck 1984 Chevrolet C30

For Gabe Castaneda, driving across the country to work on drilling rigs is a normal part of life. As a plus, Castaneda can scout the countryside for cars and trucks with a For Sale sign in the window. Early one November morning, while driving through a small, east Texas town, Castaneda found something special—this crew cab Chevy. After he completed his work shift, he rushed back to check out the truck. Castaneda negotiated back and forth with the owner for about 30 minutes. Finally, they struck a deal and the truck was loaded up onto a trailer, so Castaneda could take back home with him to Caldwell, Texas.

Castaneda immediately got on the phone with Jake McKiddie of Phat Phabz in Choctaw, Oklahoma. He discussed getting this beast into good enough shape to start scrapin’ the roads and highways of Texas.

Castaneda didn’t hesitate to load the truck back up and have his good friend Jimmy Chollett drop it off at one of the baddest shops in America. McKiddie can put his touch on truck, giving it a fully custom-built frame, and doing the unthinkable, laying the body over a set of 26-inch Intro Del Sols. The truck is still under construction, but Castaneda has a big list of upgrades in the works. His wish list includes an LS swap, full custom metal work, paint from Ike Ray, custom interior, and other goodies that should be completed in time for the 2016 show season.
