The color red. It’s stimulating. It’s exciting and motivating, attention-getting. Assertive and aggressive. Some say it represents energy, action, desire, and passion. It exudes confidence, strength, and courage. Red. It’s a color that’s not fit for the weak and weary, the timid and the ordinary. This all stands true when it comes to Landon Parker’s ’14 Ford F-250 Platinum Super Duty truck named Sick 7.
Landon worked at his family painting company through high school and eventually bought the 6.7L Power Stroke truck during his senior year of high school. Wanting a show truck that could take a beating and that was suitable for ranching, hunting, beach-going, and daily driving, Landon hit up the folks at Addiction Offroad and Performance in Helotes, Texas. He wasted no time in delivering the ¾-ton truck to the one-stop shop, as the odometer registered a mere 28 miles. Addiction Offroad, known for building trucks that can be driven hard, got down to work modifying Landon’s ride. As time went on, the truck just got bigger—and shall we say sicker—until it reached perfection for its pinnacle photo shoot.

After the powerful and seductive red hue, one is next drawn into this build by the massive suspension boost atop the prominent wheel and tire combo. The lifted stance is attained by a Fabtech 10-inch four-link system outfitted with Fabtech 4.0 Dirt Logic coilover shocks. The red color-matched Fabtech traction bars and four-link bars are but the first signs of the meticulous attention to detail given to the undercarriage of this truck. All that suspension almost seems to make the large 38-inch Mickey Thompson tires and 20-inch American Force wheels look small. Interestingly, the American Force HAVOC FP8 wheels were one-offs at the time; Sick 7 was the first truck to sport them.
Addiction Offroad packed Sick 7 full of aftermarket parts and accessories to accomplish the perfect mix of looks and function. Exterior cues include Addictive Desert Designs (ADD) Honey Badger bumpers, lighting by LED Concepts, Bushwacker fender flares, Cargo Ease slides and lockers in the bed, custom Addiction Offroad headlights, and, of course, an obligatory HornBlasters train horn. Inside the spacious interior, the front and rear seats have been covered in classy two-tone leather complete with Sick 7 embroidery. The steering wheel and center console share the same brown leather hue. A black suede headliner and lighting from LED Concepts set the mood for cruising in style, while color-matched interior panels and customized door panels to house Focal audio equipment round out the interior space. It’s a recipe for success that has landed this Ford a spot in the reputable SEMA show twice.

Landon does not shy away from his gratitude for having the privilege of owning such a beautiful truck. It’s indeed true that his favorite part is the looks he gets from curious bystanders everywhere he drives. It’s the perfect, dream build that comes with only one caveat: save yourself some time and money by getting what you want the first time. That’s a lesson he learned by the third lift! What’s next for Landon? A ’17 F-250. Count us in for this build!

Sick 7 has been featured at the prestigious SEMA show in Las Vegas, Nevada, not once, but twice—so far. At the 2014 show, the commanding red Ford represented Addictive Desert Designs (ADD) in the outside display area by sporting the company’s bumpers. Updated with a bigger lift and more mods, Sick 7 returned for the 2015 show, this time inside the Cargo Ease booth.
