Radical Renderings - OCT Designs

Jun 20, 2016
Photographers: Courtesy of Tim Grachen
Tim Grachen is the owner of OCT Designs and a native Californian and for most of his scant 28 years has been a truck fanatic. After receiving a ’72 C20 at the age of 16, he became hooked on customizing trucks. Only two years later, he was on his second custom vehicle, which started as a stock ’97 S10, but morphed into a long-travel trail monster. Shortly after his 18th birthday, Grachen started playing around with graphic design and found he had a talent for it. This self-taught artist continued to learn and his first vehicle rendering came in 2013 after he had attended SEMA. His imagination took flight with all the potential the industry had to offer. Only this past year, he was able to make his dream into a reality and now produces renderings full-time. For a rendering of your custom truck, contact OCT Marketing at orangecountytrucks@gmail.com.

The ’16 Chevy Colorado hit the scene and companies immediately started making aftermarket parts for it. In the process of being built for Wyatt Jones out of Huntington Beach, California, this Colorado has a Baja Kits 2.5-inch prerunner kit and spring under axle conversion, King Shocks coilovers, triple bypasses, and 2.0 bumpstops, as well as Deaver leaf springs. The engine received a Volant Air Intake, Diablosport InTune, with a combination Gibson and Maganaflow exhaust. Fiberwerx supplied the fenders and bedsides while Baja Kits came through again with a front skid and valence. VisionX provided light cannons and pods. In the bed is a full Line-X treatment with a Wilco Prerunner Tiregate and bed-mounted Rotopax. But it’s not all dirt and bumps, the interior received a plush custom upholstery swap from Roadwire and tunes blast out of a Kicker vehicle-specific subwoofer. Rounding out this build are 17x9 Vision Wheels and 35x12.50R17 Falken M/T.
