Dord

Transmission: ZF6 six-speed manual
Odometer: 155,500 miles
Fuel Economy: 13.5 mpg town, 18 mpg highway

Owner says: “The truck had a utility body and the doors fell off one day, so I got a Dodge bed and slapped it on. I went with the first clean bed I found. I like the truck because I don’t really take it too seriously. It is really nice to have a work truck that is in sound mechanical condition, but it’s also hilarious looking without being ugly. I like not caring about the paint or anything else and just making it better at being a truck. Eventually, when I have a second one, I would like to build it into a bit more of a sleeper. But for now, it is all about reliability and usability. I’m in the process of setting it up for alternative fuels as well. I’d like to eventually run on 100 percent recycled fuel.”

I’ve also delivered 150 surfboards to the other towns in the north—all without a problem. Now and again, I drive it to the city for a movie and salsa dancing. ¡Pura vida!”
