2002 Chevy Silverado- Bodied for a Cause

One thing becomes evident the more time you spend in the car scene. Every builder has different reasons behind what they do and what they create. Whether it is to re-create childhood memory, out-do their previous build, or even people who love to break the internet by putting out the next biggest-and-best thing. There is really no right or wrong reason when we all share the same true passion for the craft. That being said, when someone builds a truck for selfless reasons and to bring awareness to a great cause, we at Truckin can really get behind that. Ricky Glass of Lawton, Oklahoma, set out to make a creation with his 2002 Chevrolet Silverado. A creation that would help bring Autism Awareness more into the public eye in his own way. “The truck is being built to show autistic children that no matter what life throws at them, they can achieve anything they desire,” Ricky says.

Ricky has put together quite a statement for the cause, if we do say so. From the custom paint and graphics to the handmade seats unlike any others you may come across, it’s plain to see that Ricky has put together preciously the build he had in mind. With a massive list of notable parts and custom bits, we will keep the list short and let you see what else you can find. The truck has a ’09 Chevy Tahoe front clip conversion, the dashboard out of a '62 Chevy, and it is bodied on 28s all around. Ricky wants to thank his family and friends for supporting him in what he does, and also anyone who spreads awareness in their own way for great causes.
