Lady Liberty: 2015 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali
One of the questions Jennifer Weir from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, frequently answers is, “Is that your husband’s truck?” Growing up in South Florida, Jennifer always had a desire for big trucks, and when she turned 16, she asked her parents to help her get one. As most parents would say, “It’s too dangerous, you’ll end up flipping it!” So, she ended up with a car.
Jennifer started customizing her car, always trying to utilize her creativity to make herself happy, but she just yearned for the muscle of a lifted truck. After school, she met and fell in love with her now-husband Robbie, who had a lifted Silverado. Her longing to pursue her very own truck kept growing, leading her to finally pull the trigger. Of course, Jennifer wanted the biggest and best truck there is. Because of her choice, she was put on a waiting list for a brand-new ’15 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali. It took eight long weeks for the truck to be delivered and, once it was, it was time to change the world.
During the waiting period, she purchased a lift kit, wheels, tires, exhaust, and tune, enabling the GM to hit the shop as soon as it arrived. She brought the new GMC with only 17 miles on it to California Customs in Hollywood, Florida, for the altitude adjustment. The crew carefully lifted the truck 10 inches over its factory height. Jennifer joked with her parents that she was going to lift it an inch for every year they told her she couldn’t own a lifted truck. Once lifted, the wheels and tires were mounted, as well as the exhaust.
She had chosen American Force Liberty wheels straight from the catalog of the South Florida–based wheel manufacturer. “I just loved the quality of wheel it provided,” Jennifer tells 8-Lug. “I wouldn’t have wanted any other brand.” Her husband and even the sales representative kept asking if she was sure she wanted this specific style, but she insisted, and that style went on to become one of American Force’s most popular over the next year.
Jennifer owes a ton of gratitude to all the helping hands that assisted in making her dream come true, including her loving and patient husband, Robbie, and the good men and women at American Force Wheels, as well as James at Full Throttle Suspension for all the help on parts. As a woman in a male-dominated industry, Jennifer is motivated to make her mark with her GMC. Lady Liberty not only stands for freedom, she also stands for individuality and uniqueness.
