Owner Says: ”I bought this as a daily driver after losing my previous LBZ-powered truck in a flood. I have started turning it into a stock-class sled puller, but I still drive it when I need to use a truck. It is a blast to drive and really turns heads. I plan on continuing to modify the engine with bigger injectors, turbocharger, injection pump, and a built transmission. My favorite part about the truck is that I have done everything myself, because I can’t leave well enough alone.”

Owner says: “Jim’s Black Beauty was originally my grandfather’s truck. I had never driven his diesel until he passed away, but when I did I was hooked. I was given the opportunity to buy the truck about a year after his passing and jumped at it immediately. Grandma thinks Grandpa would have never added any of the upgrades to his truck, which I believe. It has always been my dream to own a lifted truck so it might as well be the best one ever built. I installed the lift with the help of a good friend, using a garage that was almost too small for the truck. The performance upgrades were done at a shop in Michigan. I plan to add more parts, but with my other hobbies and bills the truck is a step-by-step project. It gets parked every winter and has never seen the salt that’s spread on Michigan roads.”

The truck is nick named ‘Big Jim’ after my Grandpa. The previous owner repaired the rust forming near the bottom of the truck’s body. Soon after the repairs were completed, I found the truck on Craigslist and spent my hard-earned money to buy it. The purchase was well worth it. After redoing the interior, lining the frame, and making a custom intake for its first-generation Cummins engine, this Dodge is back to pulling trailers, turning heads, and bringing smiles to my face.”
