Week To Wicked: Truckin Takeover Day Three
Day Three Recap: PFC Brakes, KC HiLites roof rack and LEDS, Fab Fours Bumpers, and AAC Trigger Six-Shooter
So apparently another whole day has come and gone, but they’re all starting to blend together so we’re not exactly sure. Looking at the truck, it has definitely progressed, but it’s all pretty much been a blur.
Our Wednesday, and third day of the Week To Wicked- Truckin Takeover, started out with the crew finishing up the Superlift Suspension by modifying and reattaching the sway bar and tie rod ends. Very soon after, we were talking with Chris Dilbeck of PFC Brakes about the extremely nice machining process that goes into their “zero failure” rotors and cabon-metallic brake pads. Chris jumped in and had the new PFC components on the truck in a matter of minutes.
Right about then we switched gears (wait, gears were yesterday, right?) and pulled out the first of our exterior accessories. We unboxed our set of massive Fab Fours Bumpers, and the KC HiLites rack along with 13 of their LED lights that mount to it and a few more for the front bumper. We soon realized that we needed an organized method to get all of our lights wired up properly, so we made a quick call to Rory Connell (yep, that Rory) and Scott Cover of AAC Brands and they showed up faster than a 24-hour plumber with their Trigger Six-Shooter Six-Channel Wireless Accessory Controller. Imagine powering up all your cool new lights but not having to run wires and switches into the cab for each light. That’s what the Trigger system does! We got pretty deep into it, but we had to call it a day and will wrap up the wiring in the morning.
We’ve got two more days to go- we think- so check back with us tomorrow and the rest of the week for an overwhelming Thursday and an Easy breezy Friday if all goes well.
