Week to Wicked 1972 Chevy C10 Nats. Giveaway Gets 508hp ZZ502
Week to Wicked
Some lucky person is going to win this all-new and improved ground up restored 1972 Chevy C10 pickup and its all going to take place at the Texas Motor Speedway on May 3-4, 2019.
What you see featured here is called the LMC Truck C-10 Nationals Classic Trucks Week To Wicked build presented by Gandrud Chevrolet, and these are the progress shots from earlier today which was Wednesday October 10, 2018. Everything about this 1972 Chevy C10 pickup is the best of the best from its CPP suspension, brakes and steering to the PPG paint Sparkburn Hot Rods sprayed over a multitude of brand new LMC Truck, doors, hood, bed, and fenders to what’s under the hood for power.
Today installing the engine and transmission was the goal, and all went well from bolting on CPP and Energy Suspension motor mounts to the C10 chassis, to the major components the ZZ502/502 Deluxe Connect & Cruise Powertrain System from Gandrud Performance Parts. Connect & Cruise means it’s a complete package that includes a 4L85-E four-speed automatic overdrive transmission and all the electronics needed to make it run. We’re estimating a strong 400 horsepower to the rear wheels because there’s been a few upgrades made to the ignition, exhaust, and the carburetor has been swapped out to Holley Terminator Stealth EFI (electronic fuel injection) with a hotter ignition system from MSD. The long-tube header exhaust system is from Hedman Hedders starting at the heads matching up to the larger exhaust ports found in a ZZ502 all the way through a pair of Heddman Turbo mufflers. To accommodate dual exhaust on a lowered 1967-72 C10 there’s a premium chrome bumper from LMC Truck with special twin notches.
And here’s a list of the sponsors involved in the 15th edition of Week to Wicked. American Autowire, American Racing, CPP, Covercraft, Dakota Digital, Eddie Motorsports, Energy Suspension, Falken Tires, Hedman Hedders, Holley / MSD, LMC Truck, Old Air Products, United Pacific, US Radiator.
