When you’re the oldest of five brothers, you usually set the trends and styles for your younger siblings. For 33-year-old Martin Corona, this was backward. All of his brothers had started building trucks, but Corona had no interest at the time. After seeing how creative and unique their builds were getting, Corona decided to dip his foot in the custom pool.

Corona bought a bone-stock 1986 Ford F150 from a coworker of his brother, Michael, who worked at a warehouse. A square-body Ford is exactly what he was looking for. It took a while to start working on the truck due to his busy work schedule, but eventually, it was time to begin. A Flat Black coating added to the old-school truck made it stand out. The owner of Slaughterhouse was selling a customized frame complete with an air-ride setup. Corona purchased it and had Slaughterhouse added it to his Ford truck.

Although there is still a long road ahead, Corona wishes to thank his brothers for introducing him to the truck culture. His brothers continually encouraged him not to give up when things weren’t flowing smoothly on the truck. They were the motivation behind Black Beauty.
