2014 Nissan Frontier

Base Price: $18,850-$24,880

Body Type: Midsize

UNCHANGED: Base S models add as standard manual air conditioning, cruise control, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, and steering wheel controls. Heated seats are now standard on Pro-4X and optional on the SV grade. SV, Pro-4X, and SL grades each receive a new alloy wheel option and all models are now SAE J2807 tow certified.

Cool Fact: The Frontier is one of only two gas trucks that offers a manual transmission.

Sum Up: Still holding its own against Tacoma and Colorado.

2014 Nissan NV

Base Price: $26,000-$39,000*

Body Type: Full-size Commercial/Passenger Van

UNCHANGED: The low- and high-roofed NV has yet to take the commercial or MPV sector by storm, but the NV is still a relative newcomer in a segment that updates infrequently. A new steel wheel design comes to the passenger S grade, while small interior changes grace the S and SV grades of the cargo variant. Both V-8 versions receive towing packages as standard.

Look For: This segment to get crowded with Ford and Ram competitors in 2014.

Sum Up: The 12-seat version has 324 possible seating combinations.

2014 Nissan NV200

Base Price: $21,100-$30,560

Body Type: Compact Commercial Van

UNCHANGED: New for the 2013 model year, Nissan takes a page out of Ford’s Transit Connect playbook by tackling the small commercial segment with this front-drive, four-cylinder cargo carrier. Designed with small business owners (including taxicab drivers) in mind, the NV offers gobs of utility (124 cu ft of cargo volume) and greater efficiency than larger vans. NV200 taxis have just dropped their flags in New York after a series of delays.

Look For: Hybrid NV200 to join its gas brethren in the taxi market.

Sum Up: Slight mpg advantage could give it an edge over the Ford Transit Connect.

2014 Nissan Titan

Base Price: $30,000-$39,500*

Body Type: Full-size

UNCHANGED: The failed Ram Truck partnership delayed the next-generation Nissan full-size by at least two years, but there are signs (and spy photos) that show development is fully underway. Expect new Nissan sales and marketing VP (and ex-Ram Truck president) Fred Diaz to imbue the new version with some serious truck cred, but until then, the competition has Titan outgunned.

Look For: A Cummins turbo-diesel option in the next-generation truck.

Sum Up: Barely an afterthought in the hypercompetitive full-size segment.
