As its name implies, the all-new Gear Box toy hauler by Fleetwood RV is designed to support ATV, motorcycle, snowmobile, and sandrail enthusiasts. Depending on size and model, the Gear Box is capable of transporting up to four full-size ATVs to a favorite remote destination, where it also can be used as a full-service luxury RV. Available in three lengths (22-, 26-, and 30-foot), with a front-bedroom or a front-bathroom floorplan, this bumper-tow LSV toy hauler comes appointed with features that yield residential comforts and huge amounts of utility.
With a GVWR ranging from 10,700 to 14,000 pounds and hitch-weight ratings up to 1211, the Gear Box line is capable of hauling between 4936 and 6540 pounds of payload. The interior floor is dressed with rugged, low-maintenance vinyl that allows gas, oil spills, and tracked-in dirt to be cleaned up quickly. To secure toys and gear during travel, steel tie-down loops lace the cargo-area floor. Modulated by garage-door-type springs and hinged along the bottom, the rear wall swings down and open to create a loading ramp. The optional 5.5kW genset is equipped with a 30-gallon fuel tank that also supports an optional refueling station. A second 18-gallon fuel tank is also available.
With wall-mounted fold-down dinette bench seats that convert into a sleeping area, fold-down sofabed, queen bed, and fold-out bunks, the Gear Box is capable of accommodating up to eight. A state-of-the-art galley, complete with refrigerator/freezer, three-burner cooktop (with oven), a double sink, microwave oven, storage cabinets, a large pull-out pantry, and an optional dedicated icemaker, makes it possible to survive in the wilderness for days on end. The private bath features a tub/shower, marine-style toilet, and a complex that includes a lavvy, counter, and cabinet.
