The Diesel Hot Rod Association has been a roaring success--with an emphasis on the roar. Now the DHRA has expanded westward to cover virtually the entire continental United States with the announcement of the Vegas Diesel Nationals to be held this May in Las Vegas. After all, if they were going to hold the event someplace else, they wouldn't have used the name Vegas, would they?

The DHRA ran 17 events last season, including two Nationals. The addition of the Vegas event brings with it an expanded presence of the DieselPower Diesel Additive Drag Racing series to venues along the West Coast and Western states.

More information on the DHRA is available on its Web site at www.dhraonline.com.

NOTED: Rudolf Diesel drowned at the age of 55 in 1913 after going overboard from the SS Dresden while it was in the English Channel. There's no record of him ever having drag-raced.
