During a day of rigorous testing, there was not a single flat, puncture, or blowout. Surprisingly, although the tread design was made with off-roading and mud dispersion in view, the highway ride remains surprisingly quiet, with none of the drone of some of the more aggressive off-road tires on the market.
Expect to pay a slight premium for the MT/R with Kevlar over a comparable OE-replacement or all-season tire. However, Goodyear expects prices to be close to those of the current MT/R and competitive with similar premium off-road tires. The tires should be available nationwide at Goodyear dealers in early March 2009. For more information, visit www.goodyeartires.com.
