Full-size: Mercedes-Benz Sprinter
Minivan: Ford Transit Connect

This year, we've added full-size vans here. Minivans are functional, but there are plenty of Truck Trend readers who are much more interested in big vans than vehicles that are typically used to haul kids. So we have two winners in this category:

The Sprinter is our full-size favorite. Diesel power is standard, the high roof means enough room to stand upright inside and oceans of cargo volume, and that it's a Mercedes brings a level of refinement.

Our favorite small van, the Transit Connect, does a great job of catering to people who need a smaller van that is built for tougher jobs. This one has a payload capacity of 1600 pounds, comparable to that of a half-ton pickup.

Who would you choose as your 2010 Best in Class Passenger Van?
