At the press announcement for the use of GDiesel by Clark County in January of 2011, Peter Gunnerman pointed out that GDiesel both lowers fuel costs and improves the air quality for the people in Clark County. By state law, 90 percent of the vehicles counties and local governments acquire each year are required to use alternative fuel. Clark County exceeds that standard. The majority of Clark County's fleet is powered by alternative fuels. Of its 2798 vehicles and equipment, 1426 are diesel powered, most of which will now run on GDiesel.
