Winner: Ford F-350 Super Duty King Ranch
Runner-Up: Ram HD 3500 Laramie Longhorn
Topline power pullers are both highly luxurious and tough. They can tow the equivalent of 10 cars at once and have enough payload capacity to carry the equivalent of a 3/4-ton work truck. We looked at the top trim levels for the trucks from each of the three manufacturers. This was a close one, but the King Ranch is still the best combo of luxury interior and capability, with a good-looking cabin, 21,500-pound towing capacity, and a near-5000-pound payload. The attractive newbie Laramie Longhorn is also impressive, tying the Ford for best torque in its class.
