When are we getting a new Ram Dakota?.. Extended Cab with 3.0 diesel built off JGC/Durango platform would tow around 7000lbs with payload around 1500lbs (estimates based on platform capacities). Plus hwy mileage ranging from 28-30+. That would be a legitimate truck to once again lead compact/mid size segment (90s-02 models). Plus it would contend for some of the full size sales like it did when was first built.

Now lets discuss a full size - Ram based SUV. After all, this is what the new Grand Wagoneer should be based on! I'm not paying extra for a "Jeep" Durango. Make it a Denali/Escalade fighter like it should be.

with the lighter ford on the horizon smaller trucks will be not a smart option.

@nortenodecorazon  except for people like me that can't fit a full sized truck in their garage, and like the smaller size.  I will probably get the GMC Canyon when it comes out.

i dont picture this segment selling in big numbers. unless the price-mpg-capability balance is better than half ton trucks. and half ton trucks are really good on that already and have decades of good reputation.

Unless half ton owners need to pull more, it may just away more of then over if the MPG is that good.

A global version of the Colorado is sold in Thailand and other markets, but I don't see it listed on Chevrolet's India homepage.

There's a good chance the V-6 will get 25 hwy, at least in 2WD form. Diesel will probably be in high 20s or even low 30s.

why can they stick with one design for all the new vehicles. they keep changing them thinking it wooould get people to buy them but in this economy people in america can barely afford to put food on the table let alone buy a brand new car.

Toyota, 16.4 million recalls and counting.  Global leader in recalls 4 out of the last 5 years.

They call the Great Wall truck a hodgepodge?  Looks better than the Tacoma.  That thing is just painful on the eyes.

Ford Argentina exporta la T6 a toda América, menos EE.UU y Canada. Podría llegar algún dia a los pais del norte de América. (Y)

I can only imagine the recalls for these vehicles...

I'll only buy it if they offer a manual with the diesel. I have ZERO love for an automatic transmission.

Not to bad I guess but it needs to have the option of a 350 engine

Typical modern truck, give the weakest base engine the manual and slushbox only on the desirable powerplant. Weak sauce. Id buy one the day they came out with a diesel, manual option. Too bad.

All indications are that the diesel will be auto-only. Even in the ASEAN version, the higher-output engine is auto-only. Manual has about 50 lb-ft less torque. But you never know! :-)
