I bought a used 2002 Avalanche in September 2012. It had 45,000 miles on it. It is a black Z71 with grey plastic. It is beautiful inside and out. Very well maintained. It rides as smooth as a car and the seating is very comfortable. The way it converts to a full sized truck bed is amazing. The three piece bed cover is easy to remove. The rear glass comes out. And the rear seat folds down to reveal a 4 ft x 8 ft bed. It has the 5.3L engine creating 285 horsepower, and is very smooth and quiet. I'm only getting a little over 12 MPG, but it is a truck. It sits pretty high with lots of ground clearance. Sunroof, heated leather seats and a nice stereo make it nice to drive. The four door Suburban style truck carries 5 adults with lots of room. It is one of the best vehicles I have owned. I am 65 years old and have owned over 40 different vehicles. Way to go Chevrolet. You hit a homerun with the Avalanche.
