WHAT'S NEW: The Touareg enters its second generation in 2011 with a new hybrid model and an 8A. The SUV also is lighter and much more efficient. A V-6, V-6-based hybrid, and V-6 diesel will be available in the U.S. Lower than before, the new Touareg is wider and longer than its predecessor. Styling changes from the previous SUV are relatively minor.

COOL FACT: The new Touareg is about 450 pounds lighter than the outgoing model.
