Every automotive gamer has got to begin somewhere, so why not start the little ones with this fun game for the Nintendo DS? Thanks to its wireless function, players can race and battle with up to eight karts at once, regardless of whether everyone has a Game Card. The all-star cast includes Mario, Luigi, Peach, and all the Nintendo favorites, and features more than 30 courses drawn from every previous Mario Kart game -- Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Mario Kart: Double Dash -- so players may tour many of their favorites as well as all-new tracks and battle arenas. Even though the graphics are simple and the play is arcadey, Mario Kart features all the crazy items and frantic speed players would expect from any Mario game, and certainly emphasizes the simple fun of entry-level game play. The game also offers a new dimension of fun, since players can battle others around the world by connecting to Nintendo's new wireless gaming service, Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Release is scheduled for the end of 2005.
