In testing on a 2006 V-6 Toyota Tacoma, TRD's cold-air intake produced an improvement of 15 horsepower and 25 pound-feet of torque. The intake fits 2005-2008 V 6 Tacomas, 2007 FJ Cruisers, and 2003-2007 V 6 4Runners. It features a four-inch-diameter roto-molded intake tube that transitions to three inches in diameter at the throttle body, maintaining critical flow characteristics at the MAF sensor. The intake also includes a three-angle 5.5- to 4.0 inch filter-flow adapter and a reusable high-flow/low-restriction air filter. TRD; 800/688-5912.

Snow Performance's Stage-2 Boost Cooler is a water/methanol injection system designed specifically for supercharged and turbocharged trucks. Water cools the intake charge and combustion, as does methanol, which also acts like a high-octane fuel and adds more oxygen to the mix. The amount of water/methanol injected varies with boost and airflow to improve power and driveability throughout the rpm range. The system includes a 180psi high-pressure/high-volume pump and all parts necessary for installation. According to Snow, installing this system on a Magna Charger-equipped Chevrolet Silverado running on pump gas is good for a 70 horsepower gain. Snow Performance; 866/365-2762.

Granatelli's Fuego flash tuner has 128MB of RAM (far more than other tuners) for faster programming, plus it adds a dyno-proven 15 to 35 horsepower at the rear wheels on 1999-2004 Ford Lightning/Harley-Davidson F 150s and 2004-2006 F Series trucks with 4.2-, 4.6-, 5.4-, and 6.8 liter V 8s. You can change ignition timing tables, fuel, idle rpm, top-speed limiters, rev limiters in any gear, transmission shift points, and cooling fan on/off temps. You can use it to recalibrate the speedometer for different gear ratios and tire sizes and scan and erase vehicle diagnostic trouble codes. Granatelli Motor Sports; 805/486-6644.

S&B Filters' cool-air high-performance intake systems are said to improve airflow by nearly 55 percent when compared with the original induction system, flowing air at 309 cfm. Each intake system comes with all necessary hoses and clamps, plus the reusable air filter. While the unit pictured here is for 2004-2006 Ford F 150s with the 4.6 liter V 8, there also are applications for other Ford vehicles as well as for the Chevrolet Silverado, Tahoe, and Suburban, Cadillac Escalade, GMC Yukon and Sierra, Dodge Ram, Jeep Grand Cherokee, and more. Saleen's Series VI integrated twin-screw supercharger system was designed to fit all 2005-2007 Ford F 150s. It brings engine output up to 450 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque. The system includes a two-stage water-to-air intercooling system. The Saleen design integrates the intake manifold, blower housing/assembly, and one intercooler into a single unit that nestles between the cylinder heads, allowing for a much wider intake manifold. A second intercooler gets mounted in the airdam below the radiator. The supercharger also has an integrated bypass to reduce heat buildup at low speeds, when no boost is required.
