Product SpotLight: Wheel-Mounted TiroGage

Saves Fuel, Money and Offers Added Safety on America's Roads

Resource Manufacturing Inc. (RMI) today has teamed with WIKA Instrument Corp., the world's largest gauge manufacturer, to launch TiroGageTM, a unique tire gauge that saves truckers and motorists fuel, time and money while providing safety on America's roadways. The easy-to-use device locks onto a tire's valve stem, displays exact pressure and never has to leave the wheel because it allows inflation through the gauge itself. Simply screw the gauge on and it's done - easy to install and easy to change between tires.

"We originally developed TiroGage to eliminate the consumer hassle of checking pressure with a stick gauge or gas station air hose," said Robert Rutherford, President of RMI. "TiroGage allows the motorist to know the pressure of each tire with one effortless glance receiving instant peace of mind. Design convenience also promotes frequent pressure checks, so fuel and tread are conserved and greenhouse pollutants reduced."

"TiroGage is easy to read, easy to install and easy on the pocketbook," said Marketing Director James Rutherford. "It's rare that a product offering motorists convenience also saves them money. Larger trucking companies and independent operators will see eighteen-wheel checks go from a half-hour to 3 minutes and labor cut by 80 percent or more."

TiroGage has been road-tested for over five years and maintains an accuracy of plus or minus three percent over the range from minus 40 F to plus 150 F. The multi-patented product includes patents for electronic pressure monitoring. The commercial product uses brass, weighing under an ounce with a diameter slightly more than a U.S. quarter. All TiroGage lenses are Lexan used to make bullet-proof windshields, and high-impact casings withstand 60 gravities of curbside impact.

Initially TiroGages will be manufactured for commercial trucks and larger RV's, coming off the production line late August 2007. Expected launch for automobiles, motorcycles, even bicycles, is 2008. Cost for the commercial truck TiroGage is $24.95 each. For details visit www.tirogage.com.
