Product SpotLight: Sway-A-Way 2.5 Air Shock to Debut on Rhino Rapid Response RTV4

Rhino Outdoor International, Inc., which operates outdoor activity based businesses, including wholly owned subsidiary Rhino Off-Road Industries, Inc., is pleased to report that the Rhino Rapid Response RTV (RR-RTV), which is in the final stages of development, will include a suspension system that features the soon to be released Sway-A-Way 2.5 Racerunner Air Shock. The new shock is designed for heavier vehicles and more severe applications and is ideal for the expanded capacity 4-seat Rhino Off-Road RTV that is being added to the product line-up.

Sway-A-Way products - including shocks, torsion bars, and power steering cylinders - have been integral to the design and performance of the Rhino Off-Road RTV since the introduction of the innovative vehicle in 2004. "Sway-A-Way has worked with us since the beginning as we've developed the most innovative off-road vehicle in the market," stated Howard Pearl, CEO and President of Rhino Outdoor International. "Our RR-RTV4 is bigger and heavier than our sport model RTVs, and will be asked to perform in the most extreme and dangerous conditions for emergency response teams. There is no question that we want the best components available on this machine and we are honored to debut the new Sway-A-Way 2.5 Air Shock."

The 2.5" RaceRunner shocks have 51% more piston area and oil capacity than the 2.0" line which provides greater dampening rates for heavier vehicles and more severe applications. "We've helped dial in the suspension system with the team at Rhino Off-Road as they've created the RTV over the past few years," stated Brian Skipper, CEO of Sway-A-Way. "The RTV is incredible and the performance in phenomenal. We are proud to introduce our new 2.5 RaceRunner Shock on the new RR-RTV4 that is being produced for the emergency response industry."

The latest addition to the Rhino Off-Road family of innovative vehicles captures aspects of the original sport version of the Rhino Off-Road RTV in an expanded configuration. The company is working with Arizona Emergency Products, Inc. (AEP) to design and represent the Rhino RTV to the emergency response market and government agencies. This version provides seats for four passengers, or the additional space can be utilized to carry gear or auxiliary equipment. The wheelbase has been extended by 28 inches to 130 inches and detachable side doors have been included in the design. The first prototype of the vehicle has been assembled at the ROI R&D plant in Henderson, Nevada and is in the process of being field tested and outfitted for emergency response accessories at AEP at their Arizona facility.
