Product SpotLight: AMP's BedStep Gives Easy Access to Tall Truck Beds

Known for innovative truck accessories like the popular AMP Research Power Step, as well as the original truck bed extender n the AMP Research Bed X-Tender o AMP Research now introduces the BedStep, the first rear mounted tailgate step that works with the tailgate open or closed. Engineered to OEM standards for fit, function and durability, the BedStep is available for most popular late model trucks.

The AMP Research BedStep is perfect for accessing cargo from the rear of a truck. This attractive black anodized, and Teflon coated, cast aluminum alloy step provides a solid platform for both commercial and recreational use. Its ribbed, non-skid surface provides added durability and prevents slipping in wet weather. The BedStep features a spring-loaded cam that allows it to deploy in one fluid motion even with the tailgate closed. When not in use, it stows rattle free under the bumper, leaving the trailer hitch free for towing or other hitch-mounted accessories. Manually operated with one nudge of your foot, the BedStep deploys in seconds at a convenient side angle for access to the pickup bed even when towing. AMP's patented, multi-link design and heavy duty construction, gives the BedStep an impressive 300 lb. load rating.

Installation takes less than 20 minutes, and is a complete bolt-on project using the existing rear bumper mounting points and common tools. It is perfect for today's popular trucks with high ground clearance including work trucks, lifted show, or off-road trucks. The AMP Research BedStep can now be purchased for the Ford F-150 or Super Duty; Chevy Silverado/GMC Sierra; and Dodge Ram. Both the AMP Research BedStep and the AMP Research Power Step are nationally distributed by Bestop. The BedStep is made in the U.S.A., and is backed by a three year warranty.
