SuperSteer’s heavy-duty tie-rod end for 2001-07 GM trucks and SUVs offers a one-inch forging, a 30-mm ball joint, and 37 degrees of stud swing. Each feature is an improvement over the factory tie rod, as the stock assembly utilizes a thinner, half-inch design and a 25-mm ball joint. Limited stud swing, at 28 degrees, further hampers suspension articulation off the pavement. If hitting the trails is in the foreseeable future, a heavy-duty tie rod would be a wise investment.
The tie-rod assembly is available for most 2001-07 Chevrolet and GMC 1500-, 2500-, and 3500-series trucks, the Chevrolet Avalanche 2500, the Chevrolet Suburban/GMC Yukon XL 2500, and the Hummer H2. For a complete list of applications, visit the SuperSteer Web site below.
