Clutches eventually wear out over time, but Centerforce is ready with its DFX series for 1977-1997 Ford trucks.
Intended as a direct replacement for Ford's 11-inch clutch assembly, the DFX consists of a new, higher-capacity pressure plate and ceramic button-style disc. If the truck happens to have higher-than-stock power levels, the DFX should presumably hold up just fine.
For trucks with substantially more power, there are the Centerforce II and Dual Friction assemblies. Centerforce advises there may be some clutch chatter with their products due to their aggressive nature. Estimated Retail Price: $450
