Alpine's new single-din CDE-124SXM and CDE-123 CD receivers are compatible with SiriusXM's newest in-vehicle satellite radio tuner. The two receivers are the first aftermarket head units that work with the new SXV100 SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner Kit.
"Alpine is proud to be the first to market with these next generation SiriusXM-Ready head units, and the initial response from our retailer base has been outstanding," said Steve Crawford, vice president and general manager, aftermarket business unit, Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. "With over 20 million subscribers, SiriusXM is a very popular service and an important feature that we need to offer to Alpine customers."
Alpine is offering an all-in-one head unit/SiriusXM tuner bundle, model CDE-124SXM, which consists of a CD receiver and the SXV100 SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner packaged together. The CD receiver has a built-in amplifier with a CEA-2006 power rating of 18W RMS x 4, a three-band parametric EQ, and one pre-amp output. The front USB port and aux input jack allow for the connection of other external storage devices.
And for those who already have the SXV100, the CDE-123 CD receiver is sold separately. The CDE-123 has a built-in amplifier with a CEA-2006 power rating of 18W RMS x 4, a three-band parametric EQ, and three sets of preouts (4V). It has front and rear USB ports, an aux input jack, a cable for iPod or iPhone, and is compatible with Bluetooth wireless technology.
Pricing for the CDE-124SXM is $229.95 (minimum advertised price), $199.95 for the CDE-123, and the SXV100 is available now for $69.99 through SiriusXM.
