Travelers in an RV have a different set of priorities and needs when traversing our country's greatest highways. They want to see the sights at a leisurely pace and the size of their RV sets limitations on where they can go. Rand McNally hopes to caters to those unique needs with its new and improved TripMaker RVND 7710 GPS unit, designed specifically for RV owners and drivers.
Not only does it feature a large, 7-inch high-definition screen, but an internal 8GB leaves plenty of space to store RV-related information.
The RVND 7710 includes special route-mapping for RVs that takes into consideration traffic patterns, bridge and tunnel heights, and various RV-specific facilities such as campgrounds, rest areas, dump stations, propane stations, and even RV-friendly Walmart centers.
"Members of the RVing community have been very enthusiastic about our TripMaker(R) RVND(TM) 5510. That device designed just for them provides RV-specific routing, stops and amenities that RVers need while on the road, and things to see and do along the way," said Dave Muscatel, CEO of Rand McNally. "The TripMaker(R) RVND(TM) 7710 will further enhance the experience in large vehicles with its 7-inch high definition screen, provided at a competitive price."
The RVND 7710 will hit shelves in North America in October 2011 and is expected to carry a retail price of $399.00.
