Events and activities include:
Concert: Live performances will take place throughout the five-day event, but a special concert series is planned for Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings featuring The Detroit Symphony Orchestra (Fri.), Beyonce Knowles (Sat.), and Toby Keith (Sun.).
Fun for Kids: Nickelodeon's "Blue," Commitment to Kids identification program, and Kids Safety Village.
Fun for Adults: Massage at the Lincoln-Mercury Spa, 20-minute Model T assembly competition, and virtual golf simulators.
Fun for Everyone: Model T rides, Mustang Cafe, make CDs of favorite driving songs, celebrity impersonators, and Monster Truck Jams featuring Blue Thunder.
Classic Vehicles on Display: Among the thousands of privately owned classic car and trucks on display, Ford milestone vehicles will include: 1903 Ford Model A, 1939 Lincoln Zephyr Continental Cabriolet, first 1964-1/2 Mustang, 1907 Ford Model S Runabout, 1942 Mercury Convertible, and 1957 Jaguar XKSS.
Concept Cars: MA, Ford 427 concept, Model U, Ford Freestyle FX, Mustang GT coupe concept and Mustang GT convertible concept, Supercharged Ford Thunderbird concept, Ford GT, Lincoln Navicross, Mercury Messenger and Ford Interceptor concept.
Ford Racing Night: Ford NASCAR Winston Cup drivers and racing legends, to include Sir Jackie Stewart, Dan Gurney, Ned Jarrett, Junior Johnson, Bob Glidden, Tom Gloy, and Bob Bondurant.
40th Anniversary Shelby Tour: This tour celebrates Shelby's racing success and includes significant pieces of Ford's racing history.
100th Anniversary of Flight: Another 1903 milestone commemorated, the Wright brothers' first powered flight. 24,000-square-foot Countdown to Kitty Hawk Pavilion Display to include 1903 Wright Flyer reproduction, flight simulator stations, classic airplanes, and Lincoln Aviator Kitty Hawk Edition.
Charity Drives: For a $50 donation to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Henry Ford Health System, visitors can sign up for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to drive their own car or truck on Ford's Dearborn Proving Ground.
