Attention Road-Trippers, Chrysler Introduces Live TV Option

October 29, 2009
By Carlos Lago

Chrysler Mobile Live Tv 2
No longer content with just mobile internet, Chrysler is introducing live TV to its lineup in December. The optional service, called "FLO TV Auto Entertainment", offers 20 live channels, including CBS Mobile, CNBC, Comedy Central, FOX News, MSNBC, MTV, NBC 2Go, and Nickelodeon.

FLO TV adds $629 -- plus install -- to your vehicle's price tag and comes with a one-year subscription. It's available on the Chrysler Town & Country; Jeep Grand Cherokee and Commander; Dodge Grand Caravan, Journey, and Nitro; and Ram 1500/2500/3500. Already have one? Current owners of 2008 to 2010 model year vehicles can buy the service if they have Mopar headrests or seat-mounted DVD entertainment systems.

The FLO TV setup will debut at the SEMA show next week. We'll be sure to play around with it if we can escape the pending Camaro onslaught.
