Lincoln Aviator Suv Concept Top Right

Ford Motor Company
Looks like the Expedition and Navigator are getting redesigned for 2007. The same year should see the Expedition Max make its debut as well as the new Explorer Sport Trac and a redesigned, reengineered Super Duty. The Escape (and Mariner and Tribute) will get a facelift in 2008, and a redesigned, reengineered F-150 (and Mark LT) will likely be here by 2009. Expect to see a car-based Aviator by 2007 and a stretched version of the Navigator in 2008.

 Dodge Nitro Suv Front Right

Chrysler Group
Rumors of a Chrysler version of the Durango continue, and this SUV may be called the Aspen, planned for a 2007 introduction, the same year the Nitro (or a vehicle similar to it) comes to market, as do an all-new Wrangler and two car-based Jeeps. A freshened Durango, as well as a hybrid, should arrive around 2008, and the Liberty and Grand Cherokee should receive major upgrades that year or in 2009. Jeep also may introduce a pickup that year; we hope its a version of the Gladiator concept.

 Cruiser Suv Front Left

Toyota
The Land Cruiser is getting a redesign, either in 2006 or 2007, with the RAV4 to follow in 2007. That year also should see a redesigned Tundra and the production version of the FJ Cruiser. The Sequoia and Highlander get new looks for 2008, and the heavy-duty version of the Tundra probably wont get here until around 2009. Look for more info in our next issue.

 Honda Pilot Suv Front Right

Honda/Acura
The Pilot gets a freshened appearance for 2006, and the CR-V receives a redesign in 2007 or 2008. On the Acura side of the fence, the RDX, a compact crossover/sport wagon, will be introduced in 2007, and the MDX gets redesigned for 2008. Honda might receive a sport wagon as well. The Element gets redesigned for 2008.
