With the all-new versions of GM's new full-size SUVs now fully launched and a recent debut of the redesigned Chevy Avalanche, GM's development of its full-size truck line has now moved on to its heavy-duty models. Take this first appearance of this massive four-door dualie prototype, which seems sized to do battle with the Dodge Ram Mega Cab and any other supersize trucks on the market. The dualie rear-wheel configuration looks to be matched by a flared front fender, further emphasizing the width of these 2500HD and 3500HD trucks. The camouflage manages to hide most of the other stylistic differences between the light- and heavy-duty pickups, but some important details appear to show through in the truck bed. Note the metal rails along the edges of the truck bed, which seem to mimic Nissan's innovative "Utili-Track" system, seen on the full-size Titan.

2007 Suzuki SUV

We caught the first pictures of the newest Suzuki SUV--a Theta-based 'ute larger than the Grand Vitara or the outgoing XL-7. This newest vehicle for the Suzuki lineup will bow for the 2007 model year and will offer three rows of seating. Power is expected to come from either a 3.4- or 3.6-liter V-6 and will be a close sibling to the Equinox and Torrent. It'll likely have some styling cues from Suzuki's Concept X. Although close to the Chevrolet and Pontiac variants, the Suzuki will measure in a bit longer--making it the largest SUV that Suzuki has to offer. Production will be at the CAMI plant in Ontario, alongside the Equinox and Torrent, and we should see the longer and still un-named Suzuki in dealerships sometime next fall.
