Cadillac, Too-- The Escalade receives a hybrid powertrain in 2007 for 2008 models--claims 25% fuel efficiency boost.
Going Smaller-- The compact RAV4 has grown up, leaving a hole in Toyota's lineup. Expect a small SUV to fill it.
Crossover Epidemic-- Nissan, Hyundai, Honda, and Porsche are considering adding crossovers or small SUVs to their lineups.
Smaller Hummer?-- It's rumored GM's interested in a Wrangler-size Hummer. Calling it the H4 would make sense.
New International Engines-- MaxxForce is the brand for International's world engines, starting in 2007. They range from a 2.8-liter four to a 13-liter model.
Sales Way Up-- Compared with this time last year, sales of large trucks rose 23.1 percent.
2007 Dodge Durango
Not only is the model getting a mild restyle for the 2007 model year, including new fascia, wheels, and fenders, it'll also receive an optional two-mode hybrid system (for 2008). The 4.7-liter will be E85 compatible and the Multi-Displacement System will continue to be a part of the 5.7-liter. New features include ESP, tire-pressure monitoring, rear park assist, and remote start.
