Auto News: Automotive.com Offers Free Gas Price Finder Tool

March 9, 2007

PRIMEDIA's Automotive.com today announced it will be offering its popular Gas Price Finder widget free to local news and information sites.

"Gas prices and the weather are two ubiquitous topics of conversation for people today," said Josh Speyer, CEO of PRIMEDIA Automotive Digital. "We have seen great response to this tool and think it would make a natural addition to a local Web site to enhance content for their visitors."

In a matter of minutes, Webmasters and bloggers can download the widget from http://www.automotive.com/gas-prices/feeds.html
and have the tool up and running on their sites. The widget is branded under the Autmototive.com moniker and provides a draw for drivers eager to find the best gas prices.

Users can view up-to-date price per gallon statistics for all grades of gasoline: regular, plus, premium and diesel fuel, station-by-station. A helpful feature is an extensive search tool that helps locate stations by zip code or on a state-wide, county-wide, or city-wide basis, allowing consumers to make the smart decision whether driving near or far.

Speyer added, "The great thing about this handy program is that it is constantly updated, so prices are never out of date and that can save consumers time and money instead of driving around looking for the lowest pump prices."

In addition, the Fuel Finder presents the latest national average price per gallon,so consumers can make comparisons fairly on the stations they decide to patronize.
