Infiniti today announced pricing on the new 2008 Infiniti QX56 sport utility vehicle, which goes on sale this summer at Infiniti retailers nationwide. The 2008 model year marks a redesign for the popular, full-size Infiniti QX56, with new exterior features, interior enhancements and a range of new standard amenities and technology. These extensive changes are designed to enhance the traditional virtues of the QX56 - which consumers voted as top in its class in the J.D. Power and Associates 2006 Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study.

 2008 Infiniti Qx56 Interior View

The 2008 QX56 is available in two-wheel and four-wheel drive models, both equipped with a standard 5.6-liter DOHC V8 engine producing 320-horsepower and 393 lb-ft of torque, 5-speed automatic transmission, Sojourner leather-appointed seating, Infiniti Navigation System, RearView Monitor, Bluetooth Hands-free Phone System, power-operated tailgate and an independent rear suspension with load leveling. The Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for the 2008 Infiniti QX56 2WD is $52,150 and $55,250 for the Infiniti QX56 4WD.

New standard equipment includes a 12-speaker Bose Premium Audio System with Burr-Brown DAC and 9.3-gigabyte Music Box hard drive for digital music storage and playback, and standard Intelligent Key. New optional equipment includes XM NavTrafficTM system with real-time traffic information (requires active XM satellite radio subscription), which works in concert with the standard Infiniti Navigation System (hard drive-based) to display current traffic conditions. For a limited time, Infiniti is offering three years of XM Satellite Radio and XM NavTraffic service at no charge*.

The 2008 QX56's exterior enhancements include new front and rear fascias, new front fog lights, a revised one-piece roof rack design and new standard 20-inch chromed aluminum-alloy wheels and heavy-duty P275/60R20 Michelin tires. Two new exterior colors, Lakeshore Slate and Serengeti Sand, are also offered.

Inside, the 2008 QX56 adds a power-folding 3rd row 60/40 split seat, new illuminated steering wheel controls, new designs and colors for the instrument cluster, a lockable glove box, a new Stone interior color (in addition to Wheat and Charcoal) and new wood grain interior trim. The optional Infiniti Mobile Entertainment System is now offered with a larger 8.0-inch screen for 2008.

Interior roominess remains the same, with class-leading 2nd row leg room and seating for up to eight with optional 2nd row split bench seat, and generous cargo and storage capacity providing maximum utility.

Available options for the 2008 QX56 include a Tow Package (2WD only, standard on 4WD model), 2nd Row Split Bench Seat (no charge), a Technology Package with Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) and front parking sensors, painted front and rear splash guards and Infiniti Mobile Entertainment System.

"This new QX56 represents a major step up for Infiniti's flagship SUV - more standard features, new technology, restyled exterior and a luxuriously refined interior," said Mark Igo, vice president and general manager, Infiniti. "With power, utility and Infiniti style, this new QX56 has it all."
