Auto News: Chrysler Financial Announces Winner at Camp Jeep 2007

August 13, 2007

Chrysler Financial announced today the winner of a two-year vehicle lease from the "Hike In and Win" contest held at Camp Jeep(R) 2007 in Charlottesville, Va. Chrysler Financial invited participants to guess the number of antenna toppers packed in a Jeep Patriot. Out of approximately 2,000 entrants, Ilene Berg, from Bordentown, N.J., had the closest guess and won the lease on an all-new 2007 Jeep Patriot.

 Camp Jeep 2007 Winner

The number of antenna toppers in the Jeep Patriot was 8,529 and Berg guessed 8,515.

"Chrysler Financial's participation in Camp Jeep is an excellent opportunity to interact with Jeep customers and promote financial education in a fun way," said Kelly Mankin, Vice President - Marketing for Chrysler Financial.

More than half of the Jeep vehicles sold are financed through Chrysler Financial. The Camp Financial tent, sponsored by Chrysler Financial, Jeep Auto Insurance and Jeep Rewards Visa(R), offered a trivia game, which tested participants' knowledge of the benefits of financing and leasing, credit health questions, history of the Jeep brand and Jeep product questions. In addition, Jeep owners had the opportunity to apply for a Jeep Rewards Visa Card and get a quote from Jeep Auto Insurance.

Camp Jeep is one of the largest and best-attended annual owner loyalty events in the country. Almost 3,000 Jeep vehicles and more than 10,000 participants attended Camp Jeep 2007 in Virginia. The three-day event includes a three-day mix of off-road driving and other family-friendly outdoor activities, including mountain biking, snow-boarding, rock climbing and scuba diving. Legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk and Olympic gold medal-winning snowboarder Shaun White, who traded in his snowboard for a skateboard, amazed spectators with their high-flying moves. Grammy-award winning country star Tim McGraw took a break from his "Jeep Presents Soul2Soul Tour 2007" to perform on the opening night of Camp Jeep. The world's greatest party band, The B-52's, closed the event, followed by the traditional fireworks display.

Camp Jeep is one of several owner-loyalty programs created by the Jeep Division of Chrysler and sold out this year. For more information about financing a Jeep vehicle visit http://www.chryslerfinancial.com/ and for more information on Camp Jeep visit http://www.jeep.com/.
