Spied! Lincoln MKT caught testing in Los Angeles

Motor Trend's Eagle-eyed art director Andy Foster caught this prototype of the production Lincoln MKT on his way into the office earlier this morning. The Ford Flex-based crossover, which will come with six- or seven-passenger seating and a plethora of high-tech luxury features, is expected to be unveiled in January at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show, a year after it was seen in Detroit in concept form, and go on sale not too long after.

Telltale signs of this vehicle being the MKT include the visible portion of the grille, which fits the profile of the 1941 Continental-style bow-wave grille that is to become Lincoln's corporate face and the shape of the tailgate, including a sharply sloping D-pillar.

You can find out more about the MKT HERE.
