Suzuki has released a rendering of its upcoming Equator pickup truck, set to debut at the 2008 Chicago Auto Show. Designed as a contender to the midsize truck throne, we know that the Equator is based on the Nissan Frontier and will be built in the same Tennessee factory.

Nissan and Suzuki have already established a partnership, with Nissan supplying the Serena minivan to Suzuki for the Japanese market. Whether or not U.S. consumers will line up to buy a Suzuki-badged Nissan remains to be seen, however. In any case, we'll have more information and even some pictures of the Suzuki Equator in the flesh - er, sheetmetal - live from the 2008 Chicago Auto Show next week, so you'll want to keep tuned to Truck Trend Online for all the updates as we get them.
