The Telluride Rotary Club hosts its annual guided 4x4 tours again this July. The family-friendly event covers some of the most scenic trails in southwestern Colorado, including Governor Basin, Poughkeepsie Gulch and Imogene Pass. Black Bear Backwards is the marquee run. This trip tackles the famous trail from bottom to top, the reverse of its normal one-way route. Tours are available for all levels, from scenic wildflower trails for first-time 4-wheelers to tougher runs for experienced rock-crawlers -- all adhering to Tread Lightly! principles. Registration includes a BBQ, souvenir attire, a cocktail reception and goodie bags. Magazine exposure is also possible: The Clemson 4-Wheel Center/Telluride Rotary 4x4 Tour is often covered by national enthusiast publications.

The Telluride 4x4 Tour is sponsored by Clemson 4-Wheel Center. This allows the event's tax-deductible proceeds to benefit the Telluride Rotary Scholarship Fund, which raises more than $40,000 annually for local students. Clemson 4-Wheel Center/Telluride Rotary 4x4 Tour cost is $150 per vehicle (two people). The event is limited to the first 65 vehicles to register, which can be done online at www.tellurideticket.com.
