Experience Land Rovers at Vermont resort

April 21, 2008

By Nate Martinez

Land Rover North America has joined with luxury resort Equinox, The Vermont Resort, to establish its latest Land Rover Experience Driving School on the resort's 80-acre, purpose-built course.

 Land Rover Experience Driving School

The driving program will be a part of the resort's outdoor adventure offerings and will teach drivers the techniques of off-road ascension, dissention, side-tilts and rocky terrain driving.

Also offered by Land Rover is a Junior Off-Road School that gives children aged five to 12 the chance to learn the same basic driving skills in a mini-electric Land Rover. Adults will be taught in the full lineup of Range Rover vehicles including the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Land Rover LR3 and LR2 vehicles.

For safety purposes, the SUV's will be equipped with emergency shut-off buttons as well as a restricted speed limit.

The off-road program will be taught by highly trained specialists year round and will be open to all daytime and overnight guests. Training sessions will range from one hour instructions to highly intense full-day trips.

No word on session pricing for Land Rover's luxury rock-crawling driving school.
