The highly regarded BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/AKM2 tire, released back in September 2007, had been redesigned to be even better than the previous-generation Mud-Terrain T/AKM. Now they are being resized. Off-roaders are going big with bigger trucks, bigger lift kits, and bigger tires, and BFGoodrich will be right there with them. The Mud-Terrain T/AKM2 will be rereleased in 37 sizes from LT215/75R15 to 42x14.50R20 to cover any off-road enthusiast needs. The 285/75R16 size has already been released on August 1, and the rest of the sizes will follow in August and September.

Joe Mazur, BFGoodrich Tires light-truck category manager, praised the new T/AKM2: "The Mud-Terrain T/AKM2 tire has proved that it can handle the turns and terrain on and off the trails. With the release of additional sizes, the Mud-Terrain T/AKM2 tire will provide more off-road enthusiasts the opportunity to experience a tire that is truly built to handle the trails."

Bfgoodrich Mud Terrain Ta Km2 Tires Three Quarters Tread View

The new T/AKM2 was inspired by the BFGoodrich KrawlerTM T/AKX, the most successful tire in rock-crawling history. Krawler TEK® technology is incorporated in the T/AKM2 TriGard® sidewall, making it stronger than the Mud-Terrain T/AKM. The sidewall consists of three components: aggressive sidewall lugs, cut- & chip-resistant sidewall compounds, and sidewall cords that are 33% stronger than the T/AKM2. The improvements allow for a better overall tire that is stronger and more resistant to damage and bruising, especially during rock climbing and trail driving.

The new KM2 retains the attractive raised white lettering on the sidewall. The tires also feature Krawler-inspired tread design and a more Linear Flex Zone across the face of the tread, giving it an aggressive look yet yielding great traction on and off the road. Additionally, the tire features exceptional even wear characteristics.
