Banks Engineering Sidewinder S10 Diesel Front View

At press time, the Banks Engineering Sidewinder S-10 diesel eclipsed its previous best quarter mile with a confirmed 7.72 seconds at 179.21 mph at Auto Club Dragway, previously known as California Speedway in Fontana. A former NHRA Pro Stock truck built by Don Ness, the Sidewinder runs a Bosch-injected 6.6-liter Duramax rated at 1250-plus horsepower and equal torque and gets it cleanly by revving like a smaller engine to 5500 rpm. Everyone involved says there is more power in the truck, they just can't get it down. May we suggest all-wheel drive?
