This past Labor Day weekend featured the World Championship BorgWarner Shootout at the Crandon International Off-Road Raceway in Crandon, Wisconsin, where Ford won the BorgWarner Manufacturers' Challenge Cup for the ninth time in 14 years. Thanks to the skilled driving of Scott Taylor in his off-road race F-150, Taylor set record qualifying lap times in the Shootout to become the "King of Off-Road Racing" for the second time since 2002. The victory secured the Challenge Cup for Ford. The sterling silver Challenge Cup has a value of $125,000.

The World Championship BorgWarner Shootout is a 10-lap race, involving the top professional Off-Road truck racing drivers, team owners, and sponsors. PRO 4x4, PRO, and Super Truck 2-wheel-drive race trucks all compete to determine Off-Road truck racing's number one driver. The winning driver receives cash prizes and a smaller replica of the Challenge Cup, valued at $7500. This year's victory is Taylor's second time since 2002 when he became the first PRO 2-wheel driver to win the "King of Off-Road Racing" title. The BorgWarner Manufacturers' Challenge Cup, which is awarded to the manufacturer of the winning truck, is a hand-crafted sterling silver and 18-karat gold trophy that stands 44 in. tall.
