Born out of dealer feedback, Fleetwood has just released its newest Terry LX fifth wheel, and it now comes with a new style of pin-box design that allows a short-bed vehicle to make a 90-degree turn when towing and docking. The 90-degree turn is at an advantage in a fifth-wheel market where many competitive products are limited to an 88-degree turning radius.

Craig Little, president of Arbutus RV, with five locations in British Columbia, Canada, says, "When Fleetwood was developing the 2009 Terry LX, our dealership teams offered lots of input during the entire process and Fleetwood listened. The result is a product that truly hits the heart of the fifth-wheel market. Not only is it in the right price point, it has the quality and features our customers want and more. Plus, the recent addition of the new pin-box design makes it even more appealing and easier to sell. They did a fantastic job!"

The 2009 Terry LX has a five-side aluminum construction with a steel truss ceiling and radius roof transition. Two-toned front and rear caps enhance the style of the fifth wheel, along with the aluminum wheels. The interior has "Mission-Style" cabinets and drawers, solid-surface countertops in the galley and bathroom, halogen ceiling lights, a 6'6" ceiling height, marbleized shower, walk-in closet, bedroom fireplace, and many other amenities. Lengths run from 33'2" to 39'4", with MSRP starting around $46,000.

Paul Eskritt, president of Fleetwood's RV Group, expects the Terry LX to do well: "Even in this challenging market, the demand for a competitive fifth-wheel product is still very prevalent. Over the past several months, we worked with our dealers to develop a fifth-wheel line that will help them be more successful in the heart of the market. The 2009 Terry LX is that product and with the ongoing support of our valuable dealer network, we anticipate that it will quickly become a favorite choice for RVers throughout North America."
