Volkswagen's popular Sign-THEN-Drive sales promotion returned today on October 10, attempting to stimulate Volkswagen's auto sales. Volkswagen is one of a few automakers left open to widespread leasing, and according to Mark Barnes, Volkswagen's chief operating officer, "it's important for Volkswagen to take action to ensure that we continue to maintain and grow our market share, take care of our dealers and provide great vehicles to our customers."
The Sign-THEN-Drive sales promotion provides customers with an attractive lease option for 13 of Volkswagen's most popular 2009 model year vehicles. The leasing package includes the waiving of the security deposit along with the first month's payment being paid by Volkswagen. Available vehicles include the Passat Wagon, the Tiguan, and Touareg SUVs, and the Routan minivan. An additional lease incentive includes a $500 loyalty offer to current owners of Volkswagens model year 1999 and newer. Conquest customers of the Routan will receive an additional sales incentive. Also included with all new 2009 Volkswagens is the no-charge Carefree Maintenance program. All scheduled maintenance according to factory specifications will be covered at no cost for the length of the New Vehicle Warranty--three years or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first.
Other Volkswagen models available under the "Sign-THEN-Drive" promotion include the 2009 Rabbit, Jetta 2.5L, Jetta SportWagen 2.5L, GTI, New Beetle, New Beetle convertible, Eos, Passat, and the 2008 R32.
