On the heels of winning the Texas Auto Writers Association award for "Full-Size Pickup Truck of Texas," the 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 has won another award. This time the award came from our northern neighbor Canada, where the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada announced the Ram was the "Best New Pickup Truck." The main competitor to the Ram, to no one's surprise, was the also-new for 2009 Ford F-150. The testing procedure for the trucks in contentions was performed by professional automotive journalists for a week at the annual AJAC Test Fest in Niagara-on-the-Lake in Ontario.
