ICON introduced its first prototype vehicle at the 2006 SEMA show, and in the next year, it debuted the first ICON SCORE Baja 1000 Limited Edition and a one-off FJ45 long-bed pickup. For the 2008 SEMA show, ICON is building another FJ45, but this time it will be a more streamlined FJ45 short-wheelbase Land Cruiser design.
ICON took a raw abused frame and completely tore it down. The entire vehicle was rebuilt, including elements such as exhaust, plumbing, and interior fabrication, and now includes goodies such as a pair of oversized vintage Land Cruiser-inspired side-facing jump seats and a custom roll bar. Extreme care and craftsmanship was put into every facet of this buildup, and ICON documented the entire step-by-step on its Car Domain page. Give the page a glance for a behind-the-scenes look before the truck hits the show.
