Chrysler's Warren Truck plant will not build Mitsubishi Raider trucks following its 2010 model year, as Mitsubishi Motors does not plan on renewing its manufacturing contract with Chrysler. According to a Chrysler spokesman, Mitsubishi's decision to not renew the contract will not affect Warren's operations or the 1400 workers employed there. The Warren location's primary production outputs are various versions of the Dodge Ram and Dodge Dakota.

The Mitsubishi Raider does not currently have a replacement, and does not enjoy a large following in the U.S. Sales of the Raider for 2008 numbered 2935 units, down 64% from 2007. Mitsubishi's overall SUV and pickup truck sales dropped 25% in 2008.

What a shocker! (not) This was an underwelming re-badge job from the start. Only thing going for it was a marginally better warranty than Dodge at the time. But then they came out with their "Lifetime" warranty, and suddenly, there was no advantage to the Mitsu over the Dodge.
